Astrology and The Secret of Life

I am a Lioness...a Leo, ruler of the sun sign.  For my entire life I have always felt a connection to this idea of my inner Lion.  Astrology was introduced to me at a very young age by my aunt Dutch.  She was also a Leo and my Godmother.  This was a relationship that I valued.  She was very passionate about her Leo connection and so I became the same way.  Now when I meet someone who shares my astrological heritage I recognize they have a similar type of pride in being a Leo as I do.  So being a Leo has affected my life for better or worse.  At further examination, there are so many micro-experiences that create who we are and how we feel about ourselves.  We pick up messages from every person we associate with and form imagery and themes we witness on television and in movies.  We are such perceptive beings.  Unfortunately we also fail to recognize the way these particularities seep into our subconscious mind and have the power to alter us.  This happens slowly and without being noticed.  This is how likes and dislikes and preferences and prejudices develop.

Thankfully, on the day of my 36th birthday I received the knowledge that would set me free from much of the entrapment created by these subconscious ideas.  My friend provided me with the Book that would truly enlighten me and correct all the years of false truths I had built my life upon.  At the age of 18, the book that I was shown that was supposed to do this for me was the Holy Bible.  I became a Baptized Christian at 18 years old and spent 5 years with a Church where I could practice the lifestyle that Jesus called his disciples to live.  At 23 I left.  I wandered from age 23 to age 36...that is 13 years.  The people who taught me the Bible felt this was THE way...and I wanted to believe it.  But...when I was given the book, The Secret, I KNEW instantly that IT was The Way.  The God of the Bible did not intend for us to live lives of lack, but to have what was truly our birthright.

The Secret, written by Rhonda Byrne, launched me into not only a completely new way of seeing my life, my future and my soul, but also prompted me to study up on the "New Thinkers" of the past.  Such brilliant people as Albert Einstein, Tesla, Wallace Wattles and Charles Haanel.  My beloved author and life coach, Dale Carnegie is among them as well.  I had been searching for this information- this clue to how life should be lived- for my entire life and for as long as I can remember.  Now that I realize that my Thoughts hold the ability to heal and attract and to overcome obstacles and event bring wealth, there is no doubt left in me about what my purpose is in life.  Can you imagine this feeling?  Do you have this feeling?  Have you ever had this feeling?  It is known as The Law of Attraction, and like all Natural Laws, it is always in operation and available to each person who seeks it.  It is Omnipresent and Omnipotent.  Sounds a lot like another belief system I have heard of before....GOD.

Astrology has little to do with The Law of Attraction directly.  It only has power if I give it power.  I enjoy a good round of synchronicity and serendipity, so I apply meaning to my horoscope.  You see we all have a purpose to fullfill.  We must come into a deep understanding about our desires in order to discover our Path and achieve this greater purpose.

The best part of Wallace Wattles book for me is the conviction he has about his discovery of an omnipresent power...a Universal Mind.  He is a simple man attempting to convey extremely complex concepts to people in a simple way.  The Secret is a much easier read, but if you study further you can understand how to apply the teachings much more deeply and receive better results.  I am so thrilled to have the Knowledge I have about the Secret to life...about the Law of Attraction.  It means everything to me...it IS everything.  I Love it so much, that I wish to preach it to the world! So today, I am able to be happy everytime I want to be happy...under any circumstance and without fear.
