The concept of Certainty is a new one for me. I first learned of it when I was researching Kabbalah over the summer. I spent July, August and September studying up on Kabbalah. This is not enough time to do more than scratch the surface of understanding what Kabbalists believe, why they believe it or how they live it. I have a lot of respect for Kabbalah for the fact that the lessons are deeply personal and must be personal. There is no generalizing Kabbalah. Once you determine to follow it you must be all in or else you cannot achieve enlightenment the Kabbalistic way. However, regardless of your faith in it or in something else, the ideas of Kabbalah exist as truths for all humanity and not just those who choose to live this Certain Way.
Certainty is a concept also found in the New Testament...for all Christians who happen to read my blog posts. Faith is being certain...something to that effect? In fact, Jesus didn't suggest that his followers guess, did he? Of course not...he said I AM the Truth and The Way. In Kabbalah, you might hear it said that the Light of the Creator which exists within each one of us points us to The Truth and The Way...and if we allow it to, we are living in Certainty (Perfect Knowledge that has total security from error). This would means faith...unwavering faith.
Here is the funny thing about the Universe. The Spiritual Universe we live in and the Physical one are not worlds apart...but they are not the exactly same thing either. They do however, overlap one another when and only when we allow them to. No one should desire to go through life without their spiritual world overlapping their physical world. Those who do are subject to the laws of the Universe, just the same as those of us who use our spiritual overlay. The difference is that when we use Certainty (the overlap), we know the what, why and how of all things that the physical world throws at us. We do not have to guess or fear or worry. With faith (Certainty) about the Laws that govern the Spiritual World and also the Physical Laws of the Universe, and knowledge of how they work together, then and only then can we truly be free to live our best life.
Practice will make you perfect...a perfect vessel. Choose today to stop guessing and to discover instead. Choose to read and study and learn about your world...your faith...your cosmic belief. Whatever it happens to be, no matter what faith it is, you must BELIVE in it whole-heartedly. And at the center of this faith must be LOVE. If you find judgement, hatred or exclusivity then you are in a bad place and should leave there immediately and pray for those who stay. But what your heart tells you...that is YOUR truth. If your heart tells you that you are a Christian, then you are. Follow Christ and go in peace. His example was perfect, so follow. If your heart tells you that you are a Wiccan, then you are. Remember that LOVE is your center. When you pray or worship or create energy in your mind, let it be the vibrations of peace and LOVE and of Community. Pray for the World to heal, one vibration at a time.
Whatever you do, stop wandering aimlessly through life(especially never walk though an open field after sundown alone..just don't). That is no way to live and will certainly lead to your own destruction and loneliness. If you are agnostic or atheist, these sound suspiciously like the empty house that demons come to inhabit from the New Testament. Would you live in an empty house? You certainly would not. You would build and create in your house, but without love it would never become a home. Love comes when you have Certainty. Until then, you have nothing.
Certainty is the most important element of faith and without it, faith cannot live. Nothing can live that has not been given energy. Steal back your valuable energy and redistribute it to worthy causes. Do not let your vibration or your mental energy be wasted with worry or friction or fighting or complaining or sickness. Rest if you need to and then give that energy to something worthy. This is your one life and your choice makes a difference. So make that difference.
